This is one of the many views that San Miguel de Allende has to offer, and I’m thrilled that Trisha and Doug picked this gorgeous town for their bridal session and yup a mini getaway! As many of you know I hold SMA very dear to my heart, since this is where I started my photography journey 10 years ago. We have a full schedule for our trip, including shooting, exploring the town and yup! party time too :)

Remember Michael and Jennifer ? well after I posted Christel’s (jennifer’s sister) +Javi engagement session I realized that I never got to blog Jennifer’s bridal, so since I can’t blog Christel’s yet … I leave you with Jennifer’s bridal session in Austin, not too long ago ;)

Last but not least….I will be out of town from Nov 6th-11th, I will be in NYC photographing Jessica+Will’s wedding. I have to say that I’m thrilled ! We had a blast shooting their engagement session and I can’t wait for the big day! other surprises coming up as well, stay tuned :) you can follow what I’m up to in NY through twitter, so make sure you come back to read the latest :)

hello beautiful people :)
this year I have traveled to a lot of places, some new some not that new. some far some rather close, some even around the corner ;) …but what makes these travels so amazing is the connection between couples that I’m so lucky to witness. their stories, their open hearts and willingness to open up and share them with me.

so this is just a quick note to let you know that I just got back from a quick trip, I’ve also been working on returning your calls and emails, thank you so much for being so patient :)

I have a new session coming up, and the image above is one of my favorites, the wonderful couple is part of the image, in a very subtle way, so make sure to check back in the next few days to see this amazing session.

Chicago was great ! I’m so happy to be back home, lots of fun stuff to do around here :), and one of those things is to open my mail…good old regular mail…and I found a couple of gems:

back to austin to shoot a couple of sessions :) Ill be back in a couple of days. btw just in case you were wondering, the image above was taken earlier this year. Jennifer + Mike will be getting married next month ! We had a blast in Austin while shooting their sessions. They are huge music lovers and gave us heads up when Del Castillo was in town, we had a blast..I believe we have a few pics from that night :) I’ll post them when I get back.

party time starts today , yey ! there are lots of activities planned for this wedding so i’ll try to post updates during the weekend.

the wedding will take a place at a quaint little town in Mexico…. more details later :)

What a wonderful thing to do ! We can all help through our art submissions, and also by attending the art auction.

Come and join us for a night of art, music, and celebration! Ofrendas del Corazón is a silent “heart art” auction, which will take place Friday, February 8, 2009 , at the Habanero Café in downtown Pharr . Between 50 and 60 wooden hearts have been given to various students, teachers, and members of the community such as local artists, musicians and business owners to decorate. We have been really fortunate to get some of our hearts signed by authors such as Sandra Cisneros, Rene Saldana, and Xavier Garza, David Rice and others. Comedian Carlos Mencia also signed one, as well as the rock band Evanescence and latin-rock band Del Castillo. Most authors and musicians have also donated a signed book or CD to accompany their heart. All the proceeds from the event will benefit the Michael M. Rutledge Legacy Award. Michael Rutledge was a sophomore at PSJA North involved with the Raider Band and the Dual Language program. The first award will be given in 2009 to a PSJA North Dual Language student who has already been accepted into a college or university. The heart has taken a significant meaning for us since Michael, through his parents’ gift of organ donation, was able to give life to four Texas residents.
